Priorities

Hey ladies!

We all live very busy lives... We have a family, friends, a job, a house to clean, etc. But where do we put God in the mix of all of this chaos? Do we just throw in five minutes after we've eaten, worked out, spent an hour doing our makeup, and so forth?

If so, this means He is definitely not our top priority! The best time to have your prayer/devotion time to make sure you do it? First thing in the morning! You say, but Megan, I have to do this, this, and that when I first get up! Okay, girl, then wake up an hour early! If you had to do something else that was unexpected before your daily routine, you would make time, right? This is exactly my point.

We get so caught up in every day tasks, that a lot of times, we forget about God and He gets bumped to the bottom of our list. This is not how you keep a strong relationship with someone! Think about if you did this with your husband/boyfriend/kids/friends and so forth... They would feel MAJORLY neglected first of all, second, your closeness to them would falter.

Yes, we do need to do all of the things we find important in life, but when you neglect your time with God, everything else will eventually start to fall apart. When you put God first and pray His Will and submit every area of your life to Him, everything else falls perfectly into place.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good
of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
-Romans 8:28-

This is so true! But a lot of times this verse is taken completely out of context! People say that "Oh, since I'm saved I don't have to do anything now. Just go to church every Sunday and I'm good. Everything will work out good in my life." False! If we truly LOVE God, we will make time for Him. I'm asking you, do you truly LOVE God and glorify Him above all else when all you give Him is maybe five minutes of your 24-hour day?

Ladies, I'm not trying to bring you down, I'm trying to help you check yourself and make sure that you are giving God the time and attention He truly deserves. I know God gave me this message for a reason... if this was meant for you, please don't ignore it. Give it all to God and have a healthy relationship with your Savior.

Until next time...
